
Tan Sri Amirsham A Aziz
Chairman
Tan Sri Amirsham served as President and CEO of Maybank, Malaysia’s largest financial services group for a period of 14 years from 1994 to 2008. Tan Sri Amirsham was appointed a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department on March 18, 2008 in charge of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) and Department of Statistics DOS). He held the position of Minister until April 9, 2009.
On June 1, 2009 Tan Sri Amirsham was appointed as Chairman of the National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) which he served until May 31, 2011.
Tan Sri Amirsham built an illustrious career with Maybank for close to 31 years. He first joined Maybank Group in 1977, starting with Maybank Finance where he was appointed Loans Manager. Prior to joining Maybank, he served with Hanafiah Raslan Mohamad, a Public Accountant firm for a period of four years.
In June 1985, he was seconded from Maybank to Asiavest Merchant Bankers (M) Berhad as Chief Executive/Director for six months with the responsibility for the reconstruction of the Merchant Bank.
In his service to the Group, he steered the Maybank Group forward through the years as Malaysia’s largest financial institution and built the bank franchise to become the country’s most valuable brand.
It was also during his leadership that Maybank expanded its geographic footprint in the region from 33 offices in 1994 to 89 offices in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, London, New York, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Uzbekistan and Bahrain.
Amirsham served as Chairman and held Directorships in the various leading public and private organisations. These organisations include, as Chairman of Malaysian Electronic Payment System (1997) Sdn Bhd. (main objective is to develop the Payment Network in the Banking System); Cagamas Berhad, Permodalan Usahawan Nasional Bhd., AFC Merchant Bank ( A Regional Investment Bank based in Singapore) and the Asian Pacific Bankers Club.
He was also a member on the Investment Panel of The Pension Trust Fund and the Employees Provident Fund as well as Chairman/Council Member of The Association of Banks in Malaysia. In addition to these, he was the Vice Chairman of the Institute of Banks Malaysia.
At International level, he was on the Advisory Board of the Pacific Rim Bankers Program and a Director of the Washington –based Institute of International Finance. He was awarded the Asian Bankers Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership in financial services and inducted into The Global Hall of Fame by The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.
Currently he sits as a Non Executive Director on the Boards of Lingui Developments Berhad; Samling Global Limited, Bermuda; StarChase Motorsports Limited, Hongkong; PETRONAS; Pulau Indah Ventures Sdn Bhd., CapitaMalls Asia Limited, Singapore; CapitaLand Limited, Singapore. He is also the Chairman of Destination Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd.; Themed Attractions And Resorts Sdn Bhd.; and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
Amirsham holds an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Malaya and
is a Certified Public Accountant.
Tunku Dato’ Ahmad Burhanuddin

Tunku Dato’ Ahmad Burhanuddin, a Malaysian, aged 51, was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Themed Attractions and Resorts Sdn Bhd (TAR), a subsidiary company of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, on 1 October, 2009. He also serves as Chief executive Officer of Rakan Riang Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TAR on October 10, 2009. He also serves as the Deputy President of the Malaysian Association of Amusement Themepark & Family Attractions (MAATFA).
He was tasked to set-up Themed Attractions as the management and operations company for Khazanah’s Leisure and Tourism (L&T) Division with the vision to make it a leading regional L&T player by leveraging both global and local brands to revolutionize this sector in Malaysia and Southeast Asia Region, while maximizing value for all stakeholders.
Prior to his appointment at TAR, he was the Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad from May 2006 and had under his direct purview the Bank’s International Branches, the Group Customer Care and Management Support Division and The Corporate Client Solutions which covered group’s relationship with the Government and Multinational Corporations.
He had been with the Commerce Group since 1984 and has 25 years of extensive working experience in senior financial and managerial positions which included, the post of Financial Controller of Commerce Asset-Holding Berhad (now known as CIMB Group Berhad), Executive Director of Commerce Asset Fund Managers Sdn Bhd (now known as CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad) and Group Chief Internal Auditor of CAHB and Bumiputera-Commerce Bank Group. He also served in various divisions of the Bank, which include, Finance, Strategic Planning, Retail and Corporate Banking. A qualified accountant, he is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Malaysian Accountants. Prior to his appointment as Executive Director, he headed the Strategic Review Team that looked at the commercial banking arm of the Group and participated actively in the integration exercise between CIMB and BCB. He was also a member of the Group Management Committee and chaired various Management and Risk Committees.
Apart from being the Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad as well as Chairman of CIMB Wealth Advisors Berhad and Co-Chairman of CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad, he was also a director of CIMB Bank (L) Limited, CIMB-Prinicipal Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd, CIMB Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd and Commerce Agro Ventures Sdn Bhd. Tunku Dato’ Ahmad has also held Directorships on various Boards including those of Public Listed Companies over the years.
He was conferred the Darjah Dato’ Setia Negri Sembilan in 2007 and in 2009 the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia.
Darrell Metzger
Director
Darrell Metzger is an established veteran in the leisure, resort and theme park industry, primarily focused in the Asia Pacific region. Spending a decade with the Disney organization culminated in the opening of the Tokyo Disney Resort in the early 1980’s.
This success led to the position of CEO of Ocean Park, Hong Kong while establishing the foundation of what is today, one of the most successful premier regional theme parks in Asia. He subsequently served as CEO for the US$ 10 billion rejuvenation of Singapore’s Sentosa Island … arguably, South East Asia’s leading resort destination, hosting nearly 20 million visitors annually.
Darrell is now retained by Khazanah Nasional to advise on the development and operations of major investments in the leisure and tourism sector. He serves as a director on several companies mandated to develop premier destination resorts and attractions in their effort to promote the growth of this sector in Malaysia.
YAM Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku

Tunku Ali was appointed as Director of Themed Attractions & Resorts on 15 June 2009. Tunku Ali is the Tunku Besar Seri Menanti of Negeri Sembilan. He started his career as a management consultant in 1998 with McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, he advised governments and large corporations on issues ranging from long-term strategy to organisational and corporate governance.
Tunku Ali was initially based in London and worked throughout Europe and the United States before eventually working in Asia out of McKinsey’s Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
In 2004, he joined Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment arm of the Malaysian Government, in order to participate in the nation’s development. He has since been actively involved in a number of significant transformation projects and strategic investments in Malaysia and abroad.
He was awarded a Sime Darby/Cambridge Commonwealth Trust scholarship to further his education at Cambridge University, where he undertook a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History and Social & Political Sciences, graduating in 1998. He recently completed the MC/MPA (Mid-Career Master in Public Administration) at Harvard Kennedy School and was a Mason Scholar, Harvard University’s oldest international student programme.
Kenneth Shen
Director
Kenneth Shen was appointed Director of Themed Attractions and Resorts on 25 August 2011.
He is currently Executive Director of Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad. Prior to joining Khazanah, he was based in Doha with Qatar Investment Authority where he most recently was Advisor to the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Holding LLC. In addition, he had responsibility for QIA’s direct investments in public and private companies as well as its investments in private equity, special situations and venture capital funds.
Prior to that, he was based in Hong Kong with Salomon Brothers Inc and its successor companies where his most recent role was Co-Head, Corporate Finance at Citigroup Global Markets Asia Limited. Prior to Salomon Brothers, he was with Lehman Brothers in Lehman’s Merchant Banking and Principal Investments Groups in New York.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) in East Asian Languages and Civilisations (Japanese) and Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. In addition, he has completed studies at Keio University.
Stephanie Saw Ai Lin

Stephanie Saw, aged 38, obtained a BSc. Accounting and Law from the University of Southampton in 1996 and has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2003. She joined Khazanah in 2007 and is currently a Director in the Investments Division of Khazanah. She began her career with Renong Berhad and was attached to several entities within the Renong Berhad Group of companies and HBN Management Sdn Bhd holding various managerial positions in operational and strategic financial control and management and group corporate affairs and portfolio management. She joined Macroworks Sdn Bhd in 2002, a strategic management consultancy and development project management company as Vice President of Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Services. In 2004, she branched out as an entrepreneur in the food and beverage sector and thereafter returned to the corporate sector by joining Khazanah.
Zaida Khalida Shaari

Zaida Khalida Shaari joined Khazanah in January 2007. Currently a Director in Khazanah's Investments Division, with the oversight responsibility for Khazanah's property projects in Singapore and the Wellness sector, Zaida spends considerable time working on various aspects relating to the Iskandar Malaysia development.
Prior to joining Khazanah, Zaida was the Company Secretary and Head of Legal of PNB, following 6 years of legal practice.
She is a barrister-at-law and a member of Gray’s Inn, London, having graduated with LLB (Hons) from University of Warwick, and holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
Ganen Sarvananthan
Director
Ganen Sarvananthan was appointed as Director of Themed Attractions and Resorts on 15 June 2009. He is currently Executive Director of Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
Prior to joining Khazanah, he was Director, Equity Capital Markets at UBS Investment Bank, Hong Kong. Prior to that, he served the bank’s Investment Banking / Corporate Finance departments in London and Singapore.
He is a barrister-at-law and a member of Lincoln’s Inn, London, having graduated with LLB (Hons) from University College London, United Kingdom.
